I’m being such a selfless sewist right now. Loads of exciting projects waiting in the wings and I’m sewing for my boyfriend instead. My giant stash of NYC fabric is washed, planned out and ready to sew. Plus I have three more projects ready to roll, since I’m delighted to say I’ve just joined the Minerva Bloggers’ Network. I love Minerva’s site and that they’re a true family business so I was super happy to be asked to join the gang. I’ve just received the kits for my first three projects which I’m really excited to get on and sew. The first one will be live at the end of November.
But before all that, the tricky business of sewing for a pernickety boyfriend. Josh requested a button-down shirt for winter and spotted this cosy wool plaid in Dalston Mill when I bought the fabrics for my coat. Another new set of challenges – sewing for someone else and my first shirt – bring it on. It’s all going rather well so far, so I hope we don’t replicate the last time I made something for him (a knitted scarf that somehow managed to not fit).
